Today I’d like to pay homage to my fav female streetwear (and streetwear associated) lines out there. I’m no pro at this; I just know what I like. I also don’t really have access to the folks that run these beautiful brands, so pretty much everything I’m writing is either common knowledge or something I found on the internet. I’m going to start out with a line that I didn’t really care for in the beginning (gotta be real), but then they worked their way into my heart so I figure it’s only right that I shout them out first. Let’s hear it for Married to the M.O.B. (MTTM)! M.O.B. stands for Most Official Bitches (Crew) and with good reason. You gotta have balls to rock a lot of their stuff cuz it can be over the top. Quick story: I was walkin thru Faneuil Hall one day and this middle aged man walked up to me and said hey that’s a nice shirt, what’s it say? I was like “uhhh…”, but he kept staring so I was like “It says Million Dollar Bitch”. He looked a lil embarrassed and kept it moving. Lol. That’s M.O.B. for ya. One of their newest shirts boldly (and truly imo) states that “Well Behaved Bitches Seldom Make History”. Can’t wait for mine to come in the mail. They recently redesigned their signature lips logo to mixed reviews. I don’t mind it so much, but I can understand why loyalists would. MTTM was started in NYC in 2004 by a wonderful woman named Leah. I own quite a few of her pieces including my fav hat of the moment which is named The Shiny Shit Hat in gold.
