(From top: Banshee Jacket {I want it sooo bad! It has fuckin dynamite printed on the inside, so it looks like you're bout to blow sum shit up! Buy it for me :(. lol}, Survive or Die Tank, and the Innocent tee)

All Hellz bout to break loose! Lol. Welcome to the world of Hellz Bellz: A Crime For All Seasons. Throw your well manicured hands in the air and let the world know that YOU know about the power of the pum pum. That’s what I take away when I think about this brand. Lol. Hellz is out there to say the least. They go where the boys go and show no shame in posting the wonderful female anatomy on their gear. The brand was started in 2005 by a woman named Lanie…idk where she’s from. Hellz is just the shit. Super bold graphics and chunks of color are signature to the brand. I want to put so many pics up here to show how ill Lanie can get wit it, but until I figure out how to do my posts right, the three pics above will have to do. Lol. There’s not even much I can say. I think the clothes speak for themselves. The “Kicks After Six” capsule collection actually dropped today and I’m planning on copping one of the tees. Idk the name of it but it’s reminiscent of the YSL logo but the letters are HLZ instead. Dopeness. There are two other tees in the collection that I’m digging, too. Take a look for yourself and prepare to be amazed… http://www.hellz-bellz.com/

Help me...lol

You know what I need to learn how to do? Properly create a blog post. lol. It would be nice to have a jump to my pics or be able to size them properly or change where they are. I'm new at this and for now it doesn't matter, but I think eventually I'll want to get it together. If you can help me...holla :)

Coming up next we have Dimepiece Designs, which just might hold the place in my heart of fav female streetwear brand. LA based Dimepiece is fairly new to the game. Started in 2007 by the lovely Laura and adventurous Ashley (corny, I know) Dimepiece has pretty much already found it’s way to the front of the line. The name alone should already tell you what the deal is here. It’s all about powerful woman that take charge and simply don’t give a damn what anyone else has to say. What I really like about Dimepiece is the fact that the designers don’t just throw things on a shirt and call it wearable, there’s meaning in the things they create. Perfect example is the Barbie Clones tank I copped a few months ago. It’s a tank (pictured above) that at first simply appears to have a bunch of barbie heads all over it. Upon further inspection you’ll note that the words “Plastic City” are printed in between two of the faces. It’s a quick tribute to how plastic and fake Hollywood and the overall entertainment biz is and how everyone looks like…well everyone else. I love it. And I copped it the second I saw it. Lol. My first Dimepiece piece was a hot pink tee with the words “DON’T LOSE YOUR SENSES” printed across the whole front of the shirt. There’s a pile of that white stuff on top of the D and a line (yes that kind of line) sprinkled across the bottom. A rolled up dollar bill appears to be taking a shot at the pile on top of the D. I was in college at the time and I loved rockin it on campus. I went to a private school that cost about 38G’s a year so you can grasp the connection. Hilarious. If you don’t know, now you know. In addition to dope gear, they also have a dope ass site. Get at Dimepiece…NOW!!! http://www.dimepiecedesigns.com/

(From top: MTTM Tee with New Lips Logo, MTTM tee with old lips logo, The 420 Jumper which is a tribute 2...lol...uh huh)
Today I’d like to pay homage to my fav female streetwear (and streetwear associated) lines out there. I’m no pro at this; I just know what I like. I also don’t really have access to the folks that run these beautiful brands, so pretty much everything I’m writing is either common knowledge or something I found on the internet. I’m going to start out with a line that I didn’t really care for in the beginning (gotta be real), but then they worked their way into my heart so I figure it’s only right that I shout them out first. Let’s hear it for Married to the M.O.B. (MTTM)! M.O.B. stands for Most Official Bitches (Crew) and with good reason. You gotta have balls to rock a lot of their stuff cuz it can be over the top. Quick story: I was walkin thru Faneuil Hall one day and this middle aged man walked up to me and said hey that’s a nice shirt, what’s it say? I was like “uhhh…”, but he kept staring so I was like “It says Million Dollar Bitch”. He looked a lil embarrassed and kept it moving. Lol. That’s M.O.B. for ya. One of their newest shirts boldly (and truly imo) states that “Well Behaved Bitches Seldom Make History”. Can’t wait for mine to come in the mail. They recently redesigned their signature lips logo to mixed reviews. I don’t mind it so much, but I can understand why loyalists would. MTTM was started in NYC in 2004 by a wonderful woman named Leah. I own quite a few of her pieces including my fav hat of the moment which is named The Shiny Shit Hat in gold. I got R2D2 embroidered on the side in purple (More on R2 to come in the future). Holla at MTTM!!! http://www.marriedtothemobnyc.com/

STIX

Last week for my birthday some of my lovely friends decided to take me to STIX for dinner. I’ve been wanting to go there for a while now, so I was excited. We were super starved so we ordered our entrees immediately. After a few minutes we decided to split an appetizer. The waitress brought out some “Italian” breadsticks which were like cracker sticks. I’ve been to Italy (and I ate at restaurants everyday cuz the food was so damn good no matter where I went) and I never had breadsticks like that so I’m guessing they were using that name to look fancy. The ricotta cheese dip for them was soooo good tho. We just wished that they’d given us a little more sauce for all them damn sticks. Lol. For the appetizer we went with the Thai Fried Calamari which came with a coconut and lemongrass dipping sauce. It was ok which is saying a lot cuz I’m not a big fan of coconut. The sauce was kind of watery which was weird cuz I don’t know how the hell you’re supposed to dip something in watery sauce (I hold all calamari up to Chau Chow City standards, so I didn’t really expect it to be that great anyway). From that point I could tell that this place was more about presentation than good food. And then our food came. It was beautiful. I ordered the Andean Hanger Steak with sweet potato puree and chimchurri sauce and my friends had the Red Curry Salmon with Thai sticky rice and papaya slaw and the other had the Seared Diver Scallops that was supposed to come with black bean dal, crispy onions, and mint riata but she got it with a double sweet potato puree and the crispy onions instead. Everything was beautiful but nothing was over the top fantastic as far as taste goes. We all agreed that my medium well steak was cooked to absolute perfection though. I couldn’t have wanted it cooked any more or less. The chimchurri sauce was a really good addition to the steak. The sweet potato puree was good. I thought both of my friends’ plates were decent, but I was glad I had the steak. There was some sort of party going on upstairs so we were downstairs near the kitchen. The space is super small and there was only room for 4 tables. The waitress was cool, but pretty regular. Now that I think about it the first water that she gave us was dirty and iceless. When she came back she gave us glasses full of ice. We considered leaving cuz it was kinda like a dirty glass of water is no way to start a meal but after deciding we were too hungry to leave we stayed. Lol. A lil gross, but it’s too late now. The pricing for the place wasn’t too bad. The appetizer was about $12 and our food ranged from $19-$22. I will admit that we didn’t have the full on STIX experience seeing as though we didn’t have any of their signature STIX which are chunks of meat grilled on flavor infused skewers. I’ve been to no less than 5 cookouts since the 4th so I didn’t want any more shish-ka-bobs. Lol. Overall, STIX was a decent experience, but I’m not going to rave about it and I don’t plan to go back anytime soon. If I do it will be outta curiosity cuz they have something called Ten Cane Raspberry Sashimi which is basically gelatinized alcohol made to look like sushi (it even comes in a bento box) and I’d like to see what that’s about just to say I did it. STIX gets two and half stars meaning go if you want, but there’s no reason to rush. (the pics are...from top to bottom...the Seared Diver Scallops, the Red Curry Salmon, and the Andean Hanger Steak)

For That Special Man In Your Life...Or Urself.

I just discovered these messenger bags and almost drooled all over myself. I've never too much cared for the "man-bag" but these have absolutely and single-handedly changed my mind. AHHH they're so damn sexy! And the fact that they're customizable only adds on to the greatness. Oh how I wish I had someone to buy one of these for :(. You have to check the site (shop.frockbags.com) for the FULL effect of how great these are. I love it.
