NEW PURCHASES

These are a few things I've recently ordered from F21. There's more than this, but some of the things are sold out so the image is no longer available. Can't wait to play dress up :)

Idk what I'm going to do with this skirt. I probably shouldn't have even bought it, but I wanted to challenge myself to make it work. lol.

I hope that this ring set comes apart. I think some of them would look nice layered with my other rings.

I have a feeling that this is going to join the ranks of my go to everyday rings.

this fur skirt is my fav thing of all, but I have no clue how to wear it. I know I'll figure it out though. I just really never wear skirts of this length and silhouette.

The fringe and the jeweled shoulders sold me. I love black and white. Gray too. I'm currently clearing out my wardrobe so that it only includes things I actually use. I have so much shit that I wear once a year. It doesn't really make sense to own things like that. Waste of speace. I'm trying to come to grips with that. Way harder than I thought it would be.

My love of layering every part of my body is what sold me on these. I can see them over some skinnys or peeking out the top of a pair of boots. Fun!

I also copped a flowered headband and some lacy tights with roses sewn up the sides but I guess they were too hot to handle cuz they're no longer listed on the site. Looking forward to sharing with you :)

Huge Ring and Polish Post

As much as I love rings and nail polish I have no clue why I've never done a post on them. I have sooo many pics in my phone of my hands. lol. I've posted 20 of them below. I know some of you guys have probably looked at my fav blogs ever over to the right and been like who the fuck reads nail polish blogs...me, that's who. It might be an obsession, but I prefer to call it a hobby. I'm certainly not an enthusiast seeing as though I don't really care about the nail world. I just like for mine to look purty. I talked about my ring obsession a while back when I debuted the Adderbite Snake Ring (that I was so in love with I ordered it from overseas for double the price because it didn't exist here), but I think you're about to see how deep that goes as well. lol. Some of the rings are shown more than once because I'm just trying to show the different polishes I wear. I have over 100 bottles...it's ridiculous. I also have way more rings than this, but I gotta save something for later, ya know? I don't think I can say too much else so...enjoy :)

I literally just took this picture right now. lol. I painted my nails like 30 minutes ago in the break room. I bought this ring from So Good downtown for $10 to go with my birthday dress. I'll put pics of my second party up one of these days. That harlot shade of red is one of my favs.

I LOVE this ring. But it's broken. I know it was one of my damn sisters. I just know it :(. I got it a while back from Wet Seal. There's no more of course, and I'm very sad about it. Doesn't this orange make you think of the word delightful? lol

I bought this ring because it reminded me of royalty. No, seriously.

I actually have this ring on right now as well. I call it The Rock. Imagine getting something like this when you get proposed to? I wouldn't want it, too plain for me as a wedding ring, but your hand would be weighed the fuck down. Black and white polish are so damn hard to paint I swear.

The Rock with a neon yellow shade.

This purple rose is one of my only plastic rings. I wish I had more. I went through this insane pink polish phase over the winter. I think that's when this pic was taken.

This ring is everything. It's from So Good and people are obsessed with it. I didn't even think it was that hot when I bought it. I just didn't have any red rings and I love finding big ones that aren't just stupid looking. I also love flower rings. Actually I love flower anything. You can clearly tell from this pic that my love for accessories doesn't end with rings. I'll do a post on all my crap one of these days. Scarves, then belts, then bracelets and so on and so forth. All in due time.

The darling Punky had this ring made :). I don't really know Punky personally, but any of you that have been following me for a while can probably remember when I first started my obsession with her because of her GENIUS idea aka The Haberdash. Anywho, she went to NY for Fashion Week, found a guy on the street making rings, and had a bunch made for all of her loyal customers. This is mine :) Love it.

Even though the middle of this is silver i call this my Pot O' Gold

These are some of the grestest nails I've ever painted. I called them Cosmic. lol. I also adore this ring, but I have no clue where it is. I'm certain that one of my sisters stole it. They do shit like that.

This ring is ridiculous and I know it. When my Uncle OC died I went out wandering cuz I was so heartbroken. We knew it was coming, but that certainly didn't make it any easier. I went out and bought the most ignorant ring that I could find because he always use to say things like "Baby, you stylin'! They ain't got shit on you!" lol. He loved my rings and nail poish. I call this the Otis ring. I think it's a fitting tribute seeing as though his personality was as equally over the top as this ring. This gray is called On The Prowl. It was part of the Hello Kitty/MAC collaboration. My fav polish EVER. So mad it was limited edition :(

Went to my friends wedding in Schenectady, NY and decided to get blinged out. lol.

I went through a little phase where I would paint my pinky a different color from the rest of my nails I enjoyed that phase. I also enjoyed this ring. No clue where the hell it is now.

Blingin' again in the elevator of my grandfather's building. lol. That leopard bracelet is one of the grestest things I own. I broke that lucite one with the huge rhinestones. It was a bday gift from my aunt. The clasp is magnetic and idk wtf I did but it won't stick anymore. Uber pissed.

Another from my different color pinky phase.

I call this the Jeebus ring. lol. I say Jeebus a lot. It's an ode to Homer Simpson. I don't think I've let you guys in on that obsession. It's definitely my oldest one. I can remember looking forward to Sunday nights as far back as 2nd grade. I had Bart sheets and everything. lol. My love for those little yellow people has never faded.

This is one of the grestest rings that ever existed...and I broke it. I'm hoping I can put it back together. The actual ring part broke off from the boy and girl just because of how it sticks out. That happens with a lot of costume jewelry rings. Sucks. Isn't this blue beautiful?

Boy and girl again this time with black polish. I included this one because I'm wearing my favorite pants. lol. If I could wear these everyday I would. Steve calls them my grandma pants because of the faded floral print. lol.

This is a pic I took when I was volunteering at the burlesque conference a few months ago with my sissy Nima. We do the most fun shit I swear. You might recall those Charles David's that I'm rocking from a post where I mentioned them being in the background. It's when I was talking about getting those dope ass $200 Jeffrey Campbell knee high bondage boots for only $48 from LF. The bag is from the one and only Punky. She DIY'd the studs.

Last but not least is the ring I call the Bondage/Bandage depending on whether I'm into O's or A's on that particular day. I bought it from a random shop in NY for $4. I wore it this weekend to my friend's baby's christening and people tried to steal it off my finger. This mint green is so summery. Corny, but whatev's.

Leading up to the bday...

Just thought I'd share some things that popped off this weekend. First and foremost it was my bday. Actually that isn't first seeing as though my bday was yesterday, but it is the reason that this weekend was so wild for me. I got outa work early on Friday and almost lost my damn mind as a result. I was SOOOO happy. My bro and I decided to go to the mall where he bought me this ring

Isn't it cute. He bought the silver one for himself. We were out because he wanted to buy something to wear to my bday party at Fran's Place the next day. He got some sneakers that I thought were cute but that he apparently hated and I ended up back at the mall with him the next morning. Before that I had to go out with my lil sis to find her something to wear. I'm like dudes...wtf?! I'm rockin shit outa my own closet and it's my damn party. Whatevs. Of course lil brothers and sisters don't care about things like that. Anywho, this is what I wore. I guess I was an 80's rocker (please excuse the shittiness of my room. It's not like that all the time I promise)

Pics of what happened that night are soon to come. All I can say is HOT ASS MESS. I was everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Bad hit. I had fun though. Probably too much. I wish that you all were there to enjoy the festivities. I use that word way too much and I always feel like I spell it wrong cuz of all those i's. I messed up and put this paragraph in the wrong place and I'm not going to fix it. You understand what's going on I'm sure. Back to my story... I woke up in the morning a complete mess. You don't even wana know what happened, but I made myself feel better through my own surgery and then I prescribed my own meds. You don't have to stretch your imagination too far to know what I mean. You just have to know me a lil bit. lol. After I felt like I was at least 80% I started to feel oddly domestic. I decided that it was the fourth and in order to get myself in the mood I needed to do something that would keep me busy and make me happy in the end. I decided to bake a cake. Isn't it so pretty? I'm going to make another one this weekend. I'm having another party on Friday and I intend to have a get together at my house on Saturday. I'm starting to think that maybe I should do it at my mom's instead since she'll be in Jamaica, I have friends coming in from multiple states, and my house is a shack. Stay tuned for more pics of this crazy ass weekend. Gotta keep ya'll entertained you know? lol.

DELAYED

I broke my camera and my life has been hectic. Beyond hectic. I was in school full time, working full time, doing an internship, and my family is going bonkers. Those are the reasons why I broke my promise that I would begin blogging again soon. But this time I'm not lying. I've been having way too much fun with life not to share. I'll begin with a few random updates just because I gotta start somewhere right? The quality of my pics is probably....not it definitely will be shit because I have to use the camera on my phone until I find another camera that I enjoy. I'd really enjoy a dope lil Nikon, but that would have to be something I save up for and buy as a Christmas gift to myself or something like that. Here are random things that have popped off over the last few months...

I've started wearing my hair out a lot more. I wear weave most of the time because my hair is SUPER difficult to deal with and I'm way too focused on my gear to care to fight with it on a daily basis. I think it was Fredric Fekkai that said "Hair is an accessory that you wear everyday" and I couldn't agree more. I just wish that I had the strength and know how to dedicate to managing mine. Braids, tracks, and wigs work just as well though. Ultimate accessories indeed. A lot of people think that I'm bald because of it, and I can't really blame them, but as my good friend Prils likes to say "They can kick rocks with no socks".

I scored this BEAUTIFUL Jessica McClintock dress for my lil sis to wear to prom for an astounding $60. From Saks. I promise I'm not lying. I'm good at what I do and I'm not too shy to admit it. With my knack for discovering sales and coupons and my persuasive powers combined...I'm telling ya'll I'm a professional deal finder. You better holla at me.

I then went into my closet and found this dress I'd bought from H&M for like 20 bucks last Black Friday (my favorite day of the year) and decided I wanted to join her. I knew I'd find a reason to wear this dress. I truly think it says "I'm going to prom, but I'm not overdoing it cuz it's not my prom". Never pass on something you fall in love with if it's a good deal guys. It will come in handy someday. Oh yea, so I wouldn't feel so bad about being at my third prom at 24 years old I recruited my girl Alisha to join me (that's her in the background, hey String Bean!). We're thinking about making prom crashing an annual event.

I don't know that I've ever shared my love of rings with you guys, but I have a love of rings. I won't leave home without them. I feel like your hands are so visible and you use them so much during the day... they should be interesting to look at if you can help it. But what I have might be a problem. I've literally been locking my door to run to the corner store real quick and realized I'm not wearing any rings...and yes I do run my little ass back inside to get one or a few. I feel so naked without them :(. Anywho, meet the Adderbite Snake Ring. It's by far my favorite ring that I've ever purchased. It doesn't go well with many things, but I love it so much that I wear it with almost everything. Isn't it FANTASTIC?! It's a half size too big and I had to pay double the price (had to go through a NY company to get one shipped over from London), but it was worth every damn penny.

Lastly, here's my baby TAJ all grown up. He's getting neutered in two days. I just hope that he's my same energetic, super happy son when he comes home. Oh yea, I have to drop him off at like 8 in the morning and go back to get him around 3pm. I can't stand the idea of leaving him with strangers. I cried about it, but what must be done must be done. I just hope that he doesn't hate mommy forever for putting him through this :(

Welp, that's it for now ladies and germs. I think my next post will be about the newest shoes I've bought. I almost always take pics of my new shoes so I'm sure I have a few that I can share. Talk to you lovely folks soon ;)
