The Perfect Travel Bag

I am so happy that I wandered upon this bag. I think that it's lovely and I want one sooo bad. Cheers to V Australia Airlines for even coming up with this collaboration idea. The airline tapped into the genius of Steven Alan to create the "perfect bag" for traveling. I think they're definitely oon the right track. I don't know when it will be finished or how much it will cost, butu I hope that it's attainable (for me. lol). To find out more about the bag visit The Perfect Project website and check out the features of the bag as well as Alan's blog in which he chronicles what he's done so far, what he's planning on doing, and asks for the help of his readers! Dope stuff. I submitted a comment regarding backpack straps because I love backpacks and I totally agree with his thoughts that he may have the straps in the wrong place as of now. Go check it out!

For the Bartender in Us All

I've always wanted to a bartender. Because of that I've always kept a fridge full of alcohol in preparation for my endeavor. My apartment is teeny, but that hasn't stopped me from wanting a bar. My fridge simplly doesn't cut it. As time has passed I've noticed that I have no place to put one, but I plan on getting one anyway. I have a small pantry off of my kitchen and that may be just the place to put a lil bookshelf or something that can hold my liquor. Not really a bar, but I think it's a cute idea. I was thinking about what kinds of things I should stock and that's when I realized that I don't know how to make too much of anything. I'm a 1 part rum, 2 parts coke or 2 parts vodka, 1 part OJ kinda gal. Definitely keep it simple. Recently I've started collecting drink recipe books and I now know that I really don't know shit about making drinks. This is where The Boston Shaker comes into play. I discovered them through the always hip, always fascinating Thrillist blog. They really are great and keep me up on all of what's new in and around Boston. If you thought we had too many restaurants already Thrillist almost daily update on the new ones opening will absolutely blow your mind. Back to The Boston Shaker though. this store is iiiiilllllll. They sell all types of things including bitters which I had no knowledge of before buying my cocktail books. The art of making drinks is a serious business. They recently started selling some of their inventory online and the prices are pretty good. In the online store I've found bitters for $6, an awesome looking vintage spirits and forgotten cocktails book for $20, and all sorts of things I've never heard of like Dime Bar Spoons and Maple Muddlers. They're serious business folks. The link to their online store is listed below as well as their brick and mortar address. Let me know what you find!

SALE! DEAL! SALE!

IDEELI-michael kors DENPASAR KG SHEET SET, sale price $79
HAUTELOOK- Christian Audigier Zena Satchel, sale price $120

RUE LA LA- DKNY Travel Pack Electric Blue Anorak , sale price $39

Time for the grouping! I'm going to start off with GILT Fuse becuz you already know the deal with their pics. Ugh. Anywho, they are having dazzling deals over there. There's a Puma Accessories deal that's to die for. Rue La La had a Puma Accessories sale last year and I got some things for my sister for her birthday. The prices and inventory are way better at GILT Fuse though. Great bags for $20-$27. They're also having a lovely shoe sale for a company called Rosegold that I've never heard of, but they have some dope ass shoes. Word. I wish that i could post pics but you're going to have to go look at them yourself. They're super cute though, I promise.

Ideeli is having a Michael Kors bedding and bath sale. I love MK because he has like cute and fancy designs that are really nice without being over the top. Like zebra print is usually wild but he can make it look so classy. I def like that about him. They also have Amrita Singh's beautiful jewelry and Ecru's classic sportswear among other things.

I dislike anything that has to do with Christian Audigier...or so I thought. Maybe the ridiculous amounts of ugly ass Ed Hardy gear I've been subjected to over the years has made me biased, but after seeing what HauteLook has to offer I might have to change my mind. Right now there's a Christian Audigier handbag and wallet sale going on and I must say I don't hate everything. I would actually carry a few of them on my dainty lil arm. HauteLook is also still having that awesome Urban Decay sale (everything under $10, remember?) as well as a Siwy Denim blowout, Cartier watches, and too many others for me to name.

Rue La La has a DKNY outerwear sale going on. I love DKNY. There is always something good to be found in association with that brand. They're having a bunch of other sales too.
You can find everything through the links below. As always shoot me a holler if you need an invite

Foodies Rejoice!

You'd have to be living under a rock to not know what Boston Restaurant Week is. I know that I am one of those people that waits patiently for that time of year to roll around. Well guess what? The wait is over! I never knew that different areas did their own versions of Restaurant Week here and there. I am so glad that I discovered that they do. The Dorchester-Milton Restaurant Week is following in the footsteps of what many Boston restaurants did last year and having their specials available for 2 weeks. From January 17th until the 31st you can enjoy prix fixe menus for $30.10 at reataurants such as 224, Ledge, and two places that I've been interested in going to since they first opened, Ahsmont Grille and Tavolo. There's no time to keep reading this, you have reservations to make. Click the link below for more info

Daily Deals from F21

Ruched Side Chain Dress, sale price $26.24

Dazed Leopard DQ Top, sale price $14.24

I didn't know this before, but I'm surely going to make note of it now. F21 is surprising me, yet again, with the addition of Daily 21 Specials. Apparently every single day they're going to offer 21 items for 20% off. And once again the things that they have available aren't trashy leftovers. They have some good stuff in there, as seen above. Well if you're into those sorts of things. Check out the goods here:

Toast Your Hometown Pride

This event is a tad expensive, but it looks like a hell of a lot of fun. Plus for the things that it includes I'd say it's well worth the money. On Thursday Febraury 25th the Greatest Bar is hosting a pub crawl! And it will be great! The premium ticket is a hefty $115, BUT it includes a ticket to the Cleveland vs. Cavaliers game, pre game appetizers at Porters, a ticket to an Anthem event of your choice for March or April 2010, and a free drink at the Greatest Bar among a few other perks. If I had $115 to spare I'd go for it. But I don't. So to my dearest and filthy rich readers, go and enjoy the Celtics Pub Crawl!!!

When:Thu 2/25 (5PM)
Where: The Greatest Bar
Address: 262 Friend Street Boston, MA 02114, MA
Cost: $110-115
For more info check out:

Jersey Shore Party

I admittedly don't watch this show. I've never seen a single episode. The most I know about it is that its supposedly such a bad portrayal of Italians that the prime minister of Italy asked for it to be stopped. Another thing that I'm aware of is its wild popularity, which is why I'm bringing this event to you. Tomorrow starting at 9pm the Bleacher Bar is having a Jersey Shore Party. One thing that I can say is super cool about this bar is that it's located inside Fenway Park. You can look out and see the field right below you. They're encouraging you to come as your best Snookie or Paulie D. So ummm....do that and go have fun.

Private Shopping Sales

Ideeli- Voom by Joy Han Rose Puff Sleeve Dress, sale price $64

After last week's debacle when I had to squeeze 50 million private shopping posts into one blog entry I decided something....that I would do that from now on. It makes my blog a lot less cluttered. It also makes my life a lot easier. So from now on all my private shopping deals will be lumped into one post. Well, most of the time anyway. Including now. Let's see...what do I have for you...Oh! I've never heard of Voom by Joy Han, but Ideeli has and let me tell you guuuurrrl. Lol. Nah, but for real though she makes some lovely dresses. My favorite is posted above.

In addition to that GILT is having a marvelous Marc by Marc Jacobs handbag and wallet sale and GILT Fuse is getting it poppin wit BB Dakota. Idk if you guys know what BB Dakota is but if you don't you definitely need to check them out. They have some of the cutest stuff ever. Their clothes aren't all that pricey regularly, but there's no excuse not to jump on the brand now because the starting price is $24 as far as I could tell. I saw some really great stuff at both sales but as you should know by now if you've been reading my blog I can't click and copy GILT images and I don't always feel like Googling their exact sale items because it can prove to be a hassle finding the right image, from the right angle, and resizing and all that...blah. You're just going to have to take my word for it and head on over.

I've saved the best for last. My faaaaav deal is actually not starting til tomorrow so you have time to set your clocks. I just KNOW you know Urban Decay right? Sure you do. How bout HauteLook is having a sale on their cosmetics starting tomorrow and EVERYTHING will be under $10! Praise Jeebus!

If you've ever been to any of these private sites you know that they can have dozens of sales going on at a time (per site...really) so of course I don't talk about them all. I choose my favorites because why would I talk about something I don't like. lol. But no, I'm saying that because you can never just look at what I've written and decide not to visit a site...cuz you have noooo idea what they might have that you may love. Check out all these sites by clicking the links below and as always shoot me a holler if you need an invite:

Did You Even Know That There's an Election?!

My all access staff pass. Dope.
Martha Coakley and Chancellor Motley

Scott Brown working the media

Readers, I love you guys. Honestly I do. I'm saying this because I know all I talk about is clothes and shoes and where the next sale is, but I'm so much more than that. You need to know what's going on in the world around you. Don't just breeze through and let people run your life. At least make an attempt to be heard. I'm saying this because of the Senate election that's coming up next week. I was working the debate last night and it was one of my favorite nights in recent memory. I got to meet Coakley, Brown, and Kennedy and I was the UMass Boston liason for David Gergen who served as the moderator. If you don't know who any of those people are...damn you look them up! Politics and politicians may be shabby and shady, but that's only because we allow them to be. The American people pay no attention, but love to complain. Cut the shit dude, honestly. Know your elected officials, pay attention to legislation, and VOTE! Get your ass up on January 19th and head to the polls. I don't give a damn who you vote for. Just freakin vote.

Aldo: Clearance on Sale

Aldo, Aldo, Aldo. Oh how I adore thee. You take shoe styles that I can't afford and re create them then sell them to me at a fraction of the cost. And then you go and do great things like slash the already low price so that the shoe is now a clearance item. What really makes me love you though is when you give me the opportunity to then take an EXTRA percentage off. Aldo, you're too good to me. And with that said I present to you the Aldo extra 30% off clearance items sale which is only available to subscribers, but I'm telling you that the promo code might be EXTRA30JAN10. And that the code is only good yesterday and today. I'm promising some unbelievable styles are available, but I've given you enough so go check them out on your own. I'm actually not sure if the code will work if you're not a subscriber, but becoming one isn't that hard, and I'm giving you my personal link, sooooo...yeah.

Forever 21: Rise of the Super Bargain

Ok...so I'm beginning to wonder how the hell F21 is able to offer so many things for so damn cheap. I mean I love the store...and I'd like for them to keep the bargains coming...but the ridiculous amounts of clothing and accessories offered for those crazy prices r nuts. While F21 doesn't have Chanel quality gear thier stuff isn't made super cheap. It's actually pretty sturdy. I don't think I've ever owned anything from there that broke or ripped or snapped or anything of that sort. Idk man. In the meantime I'm going to continue shopping there. lol. I received an email not too long ago with their infamous "Fabulous Finds" available starting at $1.50. A DOLLAR FIFTY?! And it's not even just dumb shit either, some of the dollar fifty items are like cute headbands and tote bags. They have cami's and short sleeve tees for like $2.50-$3.50. Flats and jeans for ten bucks...leggings for five. It's bananas. Anywho, the deals are available to all so if you like cheap stuff (well not cheap but you know what I mean) head on over to the link below and catch you some bah-gains

Get Your Groupon

I'm excited to write this post becuz Groupon gave me a gift for which I'm very grateful today. I opened my inbox expectin just to find my daily deal, but in addition to that I found a $5 credit good to be used toward any Groupon deal! Yay! Seeing as though their deals are usually like $15 or $20 this is a huge to me and I can't wait to use it. I wonder to what I owe this honor. Might have been that time I hailed a taxi to ensure a safe ride home after too many Anarkali's at Mantra. Whatever the reason, I'm psyched. I was even more enthused to see todays deal for 1/2 off at the Ginger Exchange. I've never been inside, but the Ginger Exchange seems to have a super comfortable atmosphere and their food is not expensive at all. $20 will get you $40 worth of grub with todays Groupon. I'm considering using my coveted credit to get it...but I may just hold out...hmmmm

Grouping: The Super Sale

IDEELI- Elaine Turner SPENCER in Buff, sale price $155
HAUTELOOK- Luca Couture Long Sleeve Button Down Dress, sale price $12.75

RUE LA LA- William Rast "Jherri" Handsand Ultra Skinny Leg Jean, sale price $89

It's my fault that you're about to have to suffer. I got caught up and now I have so much on my plate...it's all clogging up my brain and my inbox, so I had to sacrifice. Hopefully I've learned my lesson and will never again have to do this, but I'm about to do the biggest grouping in BeanHead history. lol. All the private shops are going to be in here in one big post. Actually it's not going to be that big, but I'm about to bring you deals from Ideeli, Hautelook, Rue La La and Gilt all in one sitting. And these are just my favorite sites. I'm going to introduce you guys to a few others soon, but just bear with me and these four for now. I've made the names of the sites purple to make things a tad bit easier to navigate and understand. Ideeli is now having the L.A.M.B./Ellen Tracy/ Elaine Turner sale I was bragging about before. In addition they also have sales for Sweet Bella, Badgley Mischka, Karoo, and a denim sale with great brands like Antik and Taverniti thrown in the bunch. Hautelook is going ALL OUT with its Luca Couture Blowout sale. Everything is under $25! Hautelook always has a million sales going on at the same time and right now is no exception. Emerge, Methven, and Elave are available for skin, Gucci and Wittnauer accessories, Raw 7 for men, Appaman for kids, Carla Mancini for the home...and the list goes on. They're also having a DEPT blowout sale that has super cute stuff for a good price. Rue La La is holding up good competition wise with GF Ferre Women's AND Men's on sale as well as William Rast and Lela Rose among others. Rounding out the bunch is Gilt which shouldn't be taken as least just because it's last. Gilt Fuse (which is targeted toward a younger and therefore broker population) is housing Free People, Unknown Factory, Jessica Elliot, and Shumaq sales. The more grown up and oft times pricier Gilt has Ferragamo watches, Cynthia Vincent shoes, and Rag and Bone in their line up. None of the Gilt sites allow you to right click and save pics so no free advertisement for them. Their loss. To see all these sales (and so much more) follow the links to great savings. As usual...holler at me if you need an invite :)

Doubling Up

Ok...so I've been slackin on my mackin lately. My inbox is SO full of deals and what not that I'm going to have to bunch things up a lil bit. Sowwy. I'm going to start with one of my fav go to's: BuyWithMe. I got two deals for you today, both equally fantab. Actually i think one is better than the other, but you should decide on that by yourself. The first one I got for you is the one that I like more (thus its position as #1). usually spa deals will you get you a set service for a set price. HOWEVER! Today (and for the next few days) you'll be able to cop a $35 certificate that's good for $75 toward ANY service at Christine's Day Spa in Newton. Suh-weet. Manicure, facial, waxing...literally anything. Now that deal can be found here:

The other deal is for those that are looking for a new them in the new year. Or perhaps you just wana work work out. Or maybe someone is forcing you to. Whatever. Either way, this could be the deal of your dreams. I'm not big on the gym AT ALL (which is why this deal isn't really for me) but I know a lot of people that are quite religious about it, or quite religious about promising to start being religious about it. If I were to care to go workout, I think a personal trainer would be best for me. And then I would be wishing that I had bought this deal.$69 will get you 3 One-Hour Private Personal Training Sessions at 11 One2One BodyScapes Locations. That's a freakin' $270 value! Damn right that's a lot of savings. BodyScapes are all over Massachusetts, so no matter what you have a good chance of having one close by. If this deal seems like a good one to you, purchase it here:

Any info that you need can be found by clicking the links. So go get sweaty then get pampered or get pampered then sweaty (which doesn't make much sense) or do either or, but you better not choose to do niether *shakes fist*

Thursday's Thrill

YAY! Another Thursdays Thrill is upon us! I am so pissed that I slept on last weeks deal which was my favorite thus far. I got caught up doing so many other things that I completely forgot about it and then it was too late. This week there is 30% off these three lovely styles. Last week the deal was on dozens of pairs of shoes and quite a few of them sold out. This week there are only three so if you want them you better get em while the getting is good.

Trust Us, This Is All Made Up

"TJ and Dave walk out on stage without characters, dialog or plot. An hour later they leave an audience with one of the funniest nights of their lives."

I lifted that straight from the homepage. lol. "Trust Us This Is All Made Up" is exactly what it sounds like. The idea is that two guys walk out onto a stage with no script and improv for an entire hour. The reason that that's ok is because the two guys just happen to be improv MASTERS. There will be two screenings and director Alex Karpovsky will be available after each for a Q and A session. I really want to go see this and hopefully I'll be free to do so. At only $5, what do I have to lose?

Your Call

Ok, so I've probably said this before about a few things, but I think I may have found what could potentially be one of the greatest creations since sliced bread. It's called Spreezio and it truly does have the makings of something epic. It's super simple to use and makes a hell of a lot of sense. The idea is that you enter an item that you want a deal on along with the radius you're willing to travel for it, and ta-da, a retailer will accept your deal and offer a coupon which you can then print out and bring into the store. Isn't that great?! So I spent the better part of my morning entering everything from shoes to cameras and realized that the selection isn't that great (imo anyway) which is why I said it could potentially be one of the greatest things since sliced bread. Imagine if other retailers caught on and decided to add things from their inventory? I'm talking places like H&M and Saks and Macy's....oh my...what a wonder we would have on our hands. Now I'm just speaking from my own experience...you may go on the site and find the exact thing you're looking for at the exact price you're willing to pay for it. And with that being said, don't take my word for it; head on over to Spreezio and see if you can find the best deal EVER

ALDO 60% Off Women's Boots

FROLING, sale price $52

FONTLANT, sale price $48
Aldo is having a 60% off all women's clearance boots sale and I think it's super cuz the styles that are available aren't shabby at all. Above are my two fav picks of the bunch. I'm not really sure how long this one will last, but I do know that pretty much everything that I wanted from last weeks Thursday's Thrill is sold out in my size so don't think that you can't wait it out and they'll still be there. lol. Heed my warning and head over to the site:

GILT Sales: Alexander Wang

My fav from what's available: The Hanne Zip Boot, GILT price $348

OMFG Gilt is having an Alexander Wang sale. Anyone that knows about or belongs to a private shopping site knows that for the most part it's leftovers and a lot of times things that are available becuz no one wanted them when they were (supposed to be) hot. Well this sale just changed my damn mind. LOVELY shoes and accessories. Why was I born so poor? :( lol. Im jk, I'm not poor, but I damn sure can't afford to just cop any of this unless I don't want to buy anything else for a couple weeks...and I'm def good on that. One day my friends, one day. Until then, why don't you do the shopping for me. It will make me 85% as happy as I would be if I owned them myself.

JOBS!

Ok, so I joke around a lot. This here is a serious matter though. I am luckily enough to be employed, but the fact of the matter is that 10% of our nation is not. So not a laughing matter. Which is why I'm here (yet again) to save the day...I hope. There's a career fair a coming and if you're one of the people that have been searching to no avail, this may be what you've been waiting for. They're suggesting that you bring 15 resumes with you, so I think it would be a pretty good idea to bring 20. All deets and links below...and good luck :)

Hautelook Does it Again

Ok...so HauteLook is having a Salvatore Ferragamo, Koolaburra Boots, AND Alexander McQueen sale all at the same time. I can't deal with their fabulousness. Like why are they so great? Honestly...sheesh. You already know the drill, dude. Holler at me if you need an invite.

BuyWithMe: Dinner and a Play

Lunch and a movie? Oh grow up. How bout dinner and some theater? Now that's more like it. BuyWithMe has you covered with a sweet double deal that will have you dining AND watching a play in Boston for $45 or less. No. I'm not lying. So quit saying that. Moving past your disbelief, I'd like to present you with a double half off deal, one to Cafe 47 and the other to see All My Sons by Arthur Miller performed at the Boston University Theater. The best part is if you don't want both deals, you don't have to take em. Take one, take the other, take both. The Cafe 47 deal is offering $30 worth of grub for only $15 and depending on what day you'd like to go see the play it could be $20, $25, or $30. I already told you what the best part of the deal is so the GREATEST part is that these two aren't too far apart, so you can woo your date with grub, take a romantic walk, then seal the deal with a show. Dope, huh? You bet it is *shakes fist*. See the deal over at BuyWithMe: http://tinyurl.com/y8b3ut8 (this is for Cafe 47, click the MORE DEALS tab for the play)

Daily Deal: Ski Trip

Who likes to ski?! I don't! But that doesn't mean that you don't either. I usually wouldn't talk about something don't care for...cuz it's my blog...but I know that skiing is super popular around here and this deal is unbelievable, so I felt that I had to share. For only $25 Groupon is offering a one day pass, equipment rental, cross-country ski lesson, AND a hot chocolate at the Weston Ski Track. Now as I said before...I'm no skiier, but I'm pretty sure that that's a lot for the price they're asking. The deal expires March 1st, but you only have today to hop on the bandwagon. So get hoppin!

H AND M

First off this damned blogger won't let me use symbols so I'm going to have to write H and M... curses. Actually I'm just going to write out Hennes and Mauritz cuz I feel like it. Plus it provides a little lesson for those that didn't know that's what it stood for. Moving on, idk what other Hennes and Mauritz in Boston are doing, but yesterday I was downtown and oh emm gee. If you're looking for something new just becuz, or you need to go out somewhere or something I suggest you get your ass downtown becuz they are having a ridiculous sale. There's so much to choose from! I had to leave the store, I swear. I left because there were only two options for me...1 I would spend all my money or 2 I would be so busy trying to choose what I should get that I would have been in the store til closing...so I did the grown up thing and left. How adult of me. But just becuz I do it doesn't mean you have to...so scoot.

Forever 21 is having a real cute. sale. There isn't much to choose from, but there is plenty in the stuff that they do have that i would happily rock...and of course there's hardly anything over $20. F21 has always amazed me by keeping up with what's going on in fashion so well. In addition to that their prices are super low but the clothes aren't horribly cheap. i don't think I've ever bought anything from there that broke, ripped, turned colors, etc. Dope. I've included some of my favorites from what's available above. If you like any of it there may be something over there for you. Check out the link below and get your shop on.

Charlotte Russe 50-75% off sale

Charlotte Russe is having a lovely sale. 50-75% off a limited selection of their inventory...however it's a pretty nice slice and they just added more. I love their $5.99 flat rate shipping becuz anytime I order something from there it's always an excessive amount of things cuz their prices are so low. I STAY buying things for my sisters from there. lol. The sale ends the 9th and is online only, so get it while the getting is good.
