SAM MENDOZA INSTALLATION AT ROCCA

Went to Sam Mendoza's show last night with my lil sis Nay Nay. She's a beauty. I'm working on getting her signed somewhere. lol. The installation was beautiful. The set up was delightful. Afterwards we headed over to the Stuff Magazine Party for a little bit, but called it a night early and headed home. It was a good time.

My lil sis with Mr. Mendoza. Isn't she lovely?

Us in the bathroom a few minutes before we approached the designer. lol.

STEVE MADDEN FOR Z SPOKE BY ZAC POSEN

My oh my! I don't usually care for Steve Madden's interpretation of anything. I find that Aldo does a much better job with that whole deal. I did cop the Steve Madden version of the Balenciaga lego heels a few years back though. I couldn't pass up the chance of owning some piece of that genius. It's crazy to me how both of these companies known for simply creating their own versions of what's on the runway seem to have jumped into creating originals at the same time. But seeing as though I go through periods of not keeping up with things maybe I'm just late. Either way, I want these fuckin shoes. Bad.

ALDO- MACEDO

Most certainly wouldn't mind having this attached to the bottom of my foot.

Christian Siriano Strikes Again

Fuckin Jeebus LOOK AT THEEEEEESE! Sheesh. Mr. Fierce strikes again! Hopefully they don't turn them into something ridiculous looking (see bottom of post). Just as with the Aldo jumpoffs from the last post I've put big pics of the ones I like most. Hope I can snag a pair. Maybe they'll have a limited run online like they did last time. One can only hope.

These are beautiful. I love the scalloped detail.

Ditto.

I can see them leaving these relatively untouched.

Va va voom! I don't have any red shoes! Hmmmm....

A Payless spokesperson said they don't plan on changing them too much, but we all remember this uber disappointment...

How the HELL you turn these...

Into THIS?! (womp, womp, woooommmmmp)

Aldo for Julian Louie

Aldo making an original shoe? Say whaaaaat?! I can dig em. These are the three that I like the most. Hopefully I can get my hands on one when they drop.

CLOTHES RACK!!!

New edition to my house…I FINALLY GOT A CLOTHES RACK! All this time I’ve been complaining about my lack of closet space and lack of shelves and blah blah blah. I finally went to target to see if they had anything and I found the perfect solution. This lovely, no tools needed, sturdy rack for $9.99. Perfect. It’s probably a temporary fix (as you may know I like odd and unusually pretty which this doesn’t quite live up to) It does the job for now. I'm also able to hang necklaces from the sides and lay bags on the bottom. Yay!

BOLDFACERS Rockettes shoot at the Wang

So I told you how I started working with BOLDFACERS, no? Well I have. And so far, so good. The other day I had the pleasure of assisting them on a few shoots that will be featured for profiles on the site in the (near) future. One was for a theater director and the other was for the Rockettes! They’ll be in Boston in December for almost the entire month, so they were around doing press. We did the shoot in the beautiful Wang Theater. I took a few pics. Idk if I was supposed to or not, but I did. Pretty right?

I take the worst pics ever. Maybe it's time for a class...

Writing

I'm an avid writer and from time to time from now on I'll be posting some of my random ramblings, stories and poems for all to love or hate. That is all.

BOLDFACERS

ok so my life may have just gotten a little more exciting. Actually, no, it definitely did. Last week I was looking through the BOLDFACERS website and I decided it would be pretty nice to work for them. So like I've done with a million other places I see and like I sent them an email asking if they needed any help. I never get anything back (womp to you Boston night clubs and Forever21), but imagine my surprise when only a few hours later I was emailed by the founder of the online 'zine herself. I had an interview last Friday, chose to stay and help out, and that was that. On Thursday I'll be working at the vintage pop up shop being held at The W hotel in downtown Boston. Monday I'm supposed to be helping out at a shoot. This is almost like a dream come true. The only part missing is that it's unpaid. I probably wouldn't have landed the position if it were though, so they get my labor and I get to learn. Sounds great to me! Come out and support on Thursday! It's at the brand spankin new W hotel...you know you wana... :)

NEW PURCHASES

These are a few things I've recently ordered from F21. There's more than this, but some of the things are sold out so the image is no longer available. Can't wait to play dress up :)

Idk what I'm going to do with this skirt. I probably shouldn't have even bought it, but I wanted to challenge myself to make it work. lol.

I hope that this ring set comes apart. I think some of them would look nice layered with my other rings.

I have a feeling that this is going to join the ranks of my go to everyday rings.

this fur skirt is my fav thing of all, but I have no clue how to wear it. I know I'll figure it out though. I just really never wear skirts of this length and silhouette.

The fringe and the jeweled shoulders sold me. I love black and white. Gray too. I'm currently clearing out my wardrobe so that it only includes things I actually use. I have so much shit that I wear once a year. It doesn't really make sense to own things like that. Waste of speace. I'm trying to come to grips with that. Way harder than I thought it would be.

My love of layering every part of my body is what sold me on these. I can see them over some skinnys or peeking out the top of a pair of boots. Fun!

I also copped a flowered headband and some lacy tights with roses sewn up the sides but I guess they were too hot to handle cuz they're no longer listed on the site. Looking forward to sharing with you :)
