Playing Dress Up

I’m definitely a 5 year old when it comes to clothes because I LOVE playing dress up. I can sit in my room for hours trying on different things and finding new ways to wear stuff I’ve had forever. My younger sisters enjoy telling me how terrible I look in my mismatched, print on print, sometimes over the top gear, but I know they secretly love every second of it. Case in point, one day the two youngest ones pictured here...

(Shad, 13 def my protégé. She’s rocking my heels, bag, jacket, and a legit Mason’s necklace I scored at a flea market for $5. Now that I think about it she’s never returned that bag. Lol. )

(Shy, 14 pictured with me. Aren’t we like…twins?)

...called me up and said that they wanted to dress like me for school the next day. I was ECSTATIC! Lol. I ran into my room and started putting things together for them and came up with these among a few others:

I wanted to dress like me but even more fun. Like how I would have dressed at their age if I could have. My mom dropped them off and I made them sit in my living room as I put on a fashion show for them showcasing the outfits I’d created. Background music? Sasha Fierce of course. They hated every one of them. Lol. Actually Shad wasn’t so bad, but Shy’s face was scrunched up the whole time. I eventually gave up and just let them come in my room and make up their own outfits. Shad more or less took one of the outfits and subtracted some things and added others. Shy took one of the shirts I’d worn then went over to a jeans pile, grabbed a pair, snatched up a pair of my converse and called it a day. Where are these children’s imaginations?! Lol. I think I enjoyed the whole thing a lot more than them. Good times.
